A public digital collection of Supreme Court of Canada decisions going back to 1900 is now accessible. It could be used to validate new kinds of hypotheses. The measures of citation patterns in that collection will be used to shed light on phenomenons which have been difficult to apprehend in the past. This presentation hopes to contribute to the understanding of the case law system in Canada. It can as well help define better information systems.
