  Joshua Tauberer (@JoshData) is a civic hacker and open government advocate who created GovTrack.us, a legislative tracking tool and an open database of federal legislative information that powers many other congressional transparency websites. In 2010 he co-founded POPVOX, a platform for advocacy. This year, he wrote Open Government Data: The Book, which can be read at http://opengovdata.io. Tauberer holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania where he studied linguistics.
