  Jane Mugala as a Law Reporting officer/Magistrate Grade1 is the coordinator of the Uganda Legal Information Institute (ULII) which is a programme of the Courts of Judicature of Uganda. ULII is an internet facility that ensures free access to all primary and secondary legal materials to all people in Uganda and beyond. In her work, Jane ensures that all judgments handed down by the courts or record of Uganda, Legislations and other legal Information are accessed and uploaded on ULII for consumption majorly by the legal fraternity.

  Jane graduated in law from Uganda Christian University, Mukono in 2002 and obtained a post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala in 2004. She worked with Dagira & Co. Advocates as an internee from 2002 to 2005, then as a practicing advocate in the same law firm from 2005 to 2009 when she joined Judiciary as a magistrate Grade1, a position she still holds to date.
